Terms of Trade

As an important customer of Abacus dx, we are providing you with our Terms of Trade. We hope that this information is of value to you and will assist in the development of a mutually beneficial relationship between our organisations.

Placing a purchase order on Abacus dx indicates awareness and acceptance of these terms. Abacus dx retains the right of refusal to trade with any organisation not willing to accept these terms.

Sale Conditions:

  • By placing an order with Abacus dx, the customer is taken to have agreed to these terms and conditions
  • All orders must be supplied with a valid purchase order number
  • Purchase orders are accepted in writing only – by email or fax
  • All amounts are due and payable within the period noted on the invoice: NETT 30 days from invoice date
  • Abacus dx reserves the right to vary, suspend or withdraw credit should the account holder fail to pay all monies owed to Abacus dx on any account by the due date
  • The account holder acknowledges that any goods purchased from Abacus dx on credit terms remain the property of Abacus dx notwithstanding that they may be in transit or actually delivered to the account holder, until the whole purchase price has been paid, in cash
  • Cheques or other negotiable securities given by the account to Abacus dx shall not be deemed as cash until cleared
  • Risk in the Goods passes to the account holder upon delivery, but property in and title to the goods shall remain with Abacus dx until payment is fully received

Pricing:

  • Acceptance of a quotation from Abacus dx by either a purchase order or acknowledgement on the quotation will be deemed acceptance of the pricing quoted and the terms of trade
  • Acceptance of a quotation beyond the valid to date may require a price revision and a new quotation issued
  • All prices listed on all quotations, proposals and tax invoices are exclusive of GST
  • All prices listed on all quotations and proposals are exclusive of packing, shipping and handling charges
  • Abacus dx reserves the right to review prices according to a number of factors including the consumer price index (CPI), supplier price rises and the exchange rate. Customers will be given due notice of any price changes

Delivery:

  • Upon receipt of a purchase order Abacus dx will endeavour to provide a same day dispatch for ex stock items, however cannot guarantee same day dispatch for orders received after 12pm (AEST/NZST)
  • For urgent requirements, same day delivery can often be organised, and may incur an additional expense to the customer

Payment:

  • Abacus dx accepts EFT Direct Bank Payment transfers and Cheques for payment of all invoices. All EFT Payments must be accompanied with a remittance advice, via fax or e-mail
  • Credit Account Application Forms and Direct Credit Forms can be obtained by contact Abacus dx
  • Payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge of 1% of the total invoice value

Returns and Claims:

  • The customer must inspect the goods promptly upon delivery. If the customer considers that the goods are not in accordance with their purchase order, the customer should contact Abacus dx within 5 days in order to claim for a return or exchange of the goods
  • No credit will be issued or product returned without proper authorisation from Abacus dx
  • Orders placed in error cannot be cancelled, returned or credited

Warranty:

  • Abacus dx warrants that the products supplied are free from defects in material and workmanship and conform to the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Abacus dx makes no other warranties, express or implied, including but without limitation, warranties of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose
