Abacus ALS is the company formed by merger partners Abacus Diagnostics and Australian Laboratory Services (ALS). The merger was officially announced 11 July 2007.
These two companies, both highly successful in their own right, have come together in order to strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers.
As an ISO 9001: 2008 accredited organisation, Abacus ALS is dedicated to offering superior solutions in the areas of critical care, allergy and autoimmunity, bone and mineral testing, infectious serology and life science products. Abacus ALS has been acknowledged for its successes by being listed on the 2007 and 2008 Queensland 400 lists and winning the 2010 Telstra Queensland Business of the Year award. Abacus ALS is a member of both Australian and New Zealand industry bodies, including IVD Australia and the Medical Technology Association of NZ (MTANZ).
